OurDomain in the Netherlands is the winner of the first Coliving Awards ‘Branding & Marketing’ category after successfully developing its strong ‘21st-century urban living’ platform. It provides compact, comfortable and sustainable rental apartments in cities across the country. It is a concept in which residents have access to extensive services and many shared facilities. Comfort, mobility, sustainability and affordability characterise this format for the future of living. OurDomain creates value for areas and meets housing needs for a new way of living in the city.
OurDomain is managed by Greystar, a leading, fully integrated real estate company offering expertise in investment management, development and management of rental housing properties globally. The platform currently includes OurDomain Amsterdam Diemen, OurDomain Amsterdam South East, OurDomain Rotterdam Blaak and – per 2024 – OurDomain Utrecht Merwede, offering over 4,000 units.

LONG-TERM IMPACT
OurDomain is not a ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ concept. Therefore the concept is based on a long-term vision and an integrated approach towards urban life and spatial quality. By looking ahead, we are able to invest in attractive public spaces and in green innovations that make cities function better.
We aim for all our projects to become an integral part of the environment. Not an island in the city, but places where all city dwellers are welcome: that’s the goal. We enhance areas alongside several commercial facilities such as supermarkets, gyms, dance schools, restaurants and bars available for all to use and support our efforts towards building community bonds and aid ease of living.
OurDomain is designed for individual living, together. The weekly events explore several topics so there is something for everyone. Residents can decide whether they’d like to attend or not; we’re here if they want or need us, and are non-intrusive when they don’t.
These projects are also valuable for the municipalities: together with them we work towards improving areas and understanding the existing community needs in terms of housing. The dialogue with institutions is open and carried on from an early stage. We enjoy being a positive addition to the area, enhancing lifestyles while providing valuable services.
